Mission

BlockLAB is SDSC's dedicated research group focused on the technical foundations and business case for advancing blockchain technologies and their integration into complex enterprise IT environments. Our work spans consensus algorithms, scalable network architectures, smart contract design, system security, performance optimization, and governance frameworks—aimed at assisting in the development of practical, maintainable solutions that meet enterprise-grade operational and compliance requirements. In collaboration with industry partners, BlockLAB supports the evolution of blockchain as an important element in modern corporate IT ecosystems.
